Who We Are

In Color Productions is a media and events production company committed to recovering and preserving the stories that have been written out of dominant history, through documentary film, community gatherings, and a living digital archive that ensures Black, Queer, and Southern folks are documented on their own terms.

Meet the Founder

Eboni Jae, Founder and CEO of In Color Productions

Eboni Jae is a cultural storyteller, live events marketer, and the Founder and CEO of In Color Productions, a media and events production company dedicated to documenting and preserving the stories of Black, Queer, and Southern communities through documentary film, community events, and a living digital archive.

Rooted in a background in African American Studies from Georgia State University, an MBA, and a career leading marketing and events operations across arts, education, and media, Eboni brings a rare combination of community trust, academic grounding, and professional marketing expertise to her work. She currently owns live event email marketing for a Black media and technology company, driving ticket demand and campaign execution across a portfolio of large-scale events.

Through In Color Productions, Eboni is building the infrastructure to ensure that the stories of Black, Queer, and Southern communities have a permanent home, through recurring community events, the Black Queer Elders in the South documentary series currently in pre-production, and the In Color Archive, a living digital platform for family historians, griots, genealogists, educators, and cultural institutions across the country.

In Color Productions is actively seeking partners, sponsors, and mission-aligned collaborators. Join us at our next event or contribute to the documentary and archive work.

What We Do

Community Events

We host year-round gatherings designed to bring people together around family history, creative expression, cultural documentation, and community healing. Our events are spaces where Black, Queer, and Southern folks can share stories, build connections, and participate in the work of documenting their lives and histories. Every event is built with intention and care for the community it serves.

Documentary Films

Our films center the people whose stories have been overlooked, suppressed, or written out of dominant history. We are currently in pre-production on the Black Queer Elders in the South documentary, an episodic series dedicated to capturing the lived experiences of Black Queer elders across the American South. The project is rooted in community partnerships and a commitment to storytelling that serves the people in front of the camera.
